Meet Trey, the Bouvier!!

I spent last week at a Herding Camp at Brigand’s HideOut in Battle Ground Washington.  The week was full of much learning and many wonderful experiences.  I took along my camera to capture as many of them as possible.  Unfortunately the weather was not very cooperative and I was only able to shoot for two days.  I spent the first two days with Larry Painter, owner of Kuawarri Kennels – Australian Cattle Dogs & Australian Kelpies.  Spyder and I spent much time working on learning how to drive….for those of you who know little about herding, this has nothing to do with automobiles! For months, Spyder has been taught to bring the sheep to me, referred to as fetching. But now he needs to learn that sometimes he needs to drive them away from me.  He is a very bright dog and is catching on quickly.  Over the next few days, I want to share images of several of the dogs from camp……

First up…..Trey!  Trey belongs to Jane.  He is a gorgeous Bouvier!

As you can see, he definitely has an enthusiastic attitude!

Trey and Jane make a wonderful working team and really gained a lot from the week.

Trey worked with both sheep and cattle.
